A few photos have leaked of the Apple’s most mysterious case that company used to keep iPhones during transportation and testing phase before release to the general audience.
It’s a general thing nowadays to get leaked photos or information about unannounced or prototype iPhone models from various sources. Often we get pictures of iPhone front side, back panel, unified casing, antenna cables, battery, camera module and all sort of geeky stuff. But as far as we talk about Apple product, Apple fanboys seems to get very excited about all new upcoming models months ahead to the public announcement.
Apple no doubt has the strict measures to stop it happening from inside but it is not that much secure as of now to prevent it from happening (leaking). One of such tools that iDevice maker company is a mysterious case that keeps iPhone safe from such events. Apple uses this case to protect unannounced iPhone models from spying eyes while testing or transporting it to other facilities. However, This case was a mystery till now, but Sonny Dickson, a known reliable shared it with MacRumors, A site that aggregates data for Mac and Apple products.
The idea behind this strange case is to let people see the product yet leaving no clue about how this phone looks or feels like other than key features. One can not judge a phone by its case. It may be prototype, upcoming model, already existing iPhone model from the market or something else. And that is the plan, isn’t it?
Moreover, further leaked iPhone back panel stickers, barcodes and so-called ‘Passport.’ Every time as the iPhone and its case go to different facilities or testing; passport accompanies it. That passport contains information about transportation and testing with barcodes, QR codes.
Apple does not always get away with keeping the world guessing about what the next iPhone will look like. Previous leaks made announcement events little boring due to pictures and specifications surfacing over the internet. But with such novel idea of strange case and passport, it is now really hard to tell what design aspects iPhone will carry next time. The message for us is to keep wondering.
But such efforts have not completely stopped iPhone prototypes from leaking. A most accurate picture of iPhone 7 Plus with Dual-Lens Camera and back panel flowed in March 2016, six months before the launch event. And such things keep happening with Apple. In 2010, An Apple engineer lost iPhone 4 prototype model at a bar near Cupertino where company headquarter is.
